Anti Bark Collars – Nothing Inhumane About Them at All

It’s strange how those people who look down at you for mentioning Anti Bark Collars are the same ones who don’t refrain from using harsh training techniques on their dogs. Some dogs bark more than others and when they start to, they end up driving everyone crazy, including your neighbors. Let’s face it; a dog that barks incessantly is enough to drive anyone up the wall. Not only does the barking annoy your neighbors, but it can also cause you trouble with law inforcement. Most jurisdictions have legislation in place which could force a dog owner to get rid of their dog if it’s continuously causing a disturbance.

If you’ve been having your dog ever since it was a puppy and you care a lot about it, then you’ll probably want to avoid these problems. To make matters worse, the new owners will quite likely get rid of the dog as well once they discover how much disturbance it causes. This situation may repeat over and over again until your dog gets into an animal shelter where it can be put to sleep forever. How anyone can possibly believe that this type of treatment is more humane than a negligible static shock is beyond belief.

Unfortunately though, the vast majority of people have seen movies where a dog has been tortured using a shock collar, and they’ve read reports on how cruel these collars are. Many reports on bark collars on the internet are written by people who’ve never took the time to research the subject. Other people believe they have to shave the dog’s fur in the area where the collar is put. Other such articles mention that your dog will have burn marks around its neck due to the use of collars. Of course, all these rumors are highly exaggerated.

In truth, electronic bark collars should be called “tingle” collars, as opposed to shock collars. After all, when you take your jumper off on a hot and humid day, and you touch something and get a tiny shock, one can’t really describe it as being painful. The ones using shocks might offer a feeling of mild discomfort, but this does not mean that they really hurt.

Many noisy dogs today own their lives to these highly debated collars that prevented them from reaching dog shelters. All dog owners who considered the idea of bark collar and have tried the devices on their pets are very content with the results; in fact, they were amazed of how fast and efficient these machines were. Additionally, most Anti Bark Collars will warn the dog before and shock is administered. When dogs hear the noise they are tempted to stop barking, because they want to avoid the shock that comes. With that said, even the most powerful shock is little more than what we know as a static shock. In the end, don’t forget that the two batteries can’t really harm a fly.
